DTN Closing Grain Comments 01/23 13:50 Weather Markets in January? Wheat Prices Lead Crops Lower Monday March contracts of corn, soybeans and all three wheats closed lower Monday, a combination of weather factors and heavy noncommercial selling. March KC wheat closed down 29 cents Monday and was the largest percentage loser among grain contracts after winter wheat received snow cover in Colorado and Kansas over the weekend with more precipitation expected the next couple weeks. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed down 10 cents and July corn was down 9 1/4 cents. March soybeans closed down 16 1/4 cents and July soybeans were down 13 cents. March KC wheat closed down 29 cents, March Chicago wheat was down 21 1/2 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was down 24 cents.
