DTN Early Word Grains 08/28 05:58 Green Green Grains December corn was 2 cents higher, November soybeans were 5 cents higher, and December Chicago wheat was 1 cent higher. By Darin Newsom DTN Senior Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: December corn was 2 cents higher, November soybeans were 5 cents higher, and December Chicago wheat was 1 cent higher. CME Globex Recap: Grains were green early Friday, leading market bulls to possibly put down the red red wine. Soybeans led the charge once again, supported by another solid rally in China's stock markets. Corn contracts were near the high end of their overnight trading range while Chicago wheat was about mid-range. The U.S. dollar index was posting a small loss with little selling enthusiasm seen. OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 369.26 points higher Thursday at 16,654.77. DJIA futures were 106 points lower. Asian markets were higher with the Nikkei up 561.88 points at 19,136.32 while China's Shanghai Composite was up 148.76 points (4.8%). European markets were mixed. The U.S. dollar index was 0.070 lower at 95.540. Crude oil was $0.01 lower at $42.55 while Brent crude was $0.15 lower at $47.41. December gold was $3.80 higher at $1,126.40. Soybeans at the Dalian Exchange were lower while Malaysian palm oil futures were higher.
