DTN Closing Livestock Comment 09/10 16:20 Cattle Futures Close Mixed Thursday Live cattle futures closed lower Thursday, feeders were mixed. Lean hog futures were mostly lower. By Rick Kment DTN Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: Some cash cattle trade surfaced Thursday with sales in Kansas at $142 on steers; in Nebraska $222.00 on steers and heifers; in Iowa $218-$222 on steers and heifers. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base is $0.03 lower compared with the Prior Day settlement ($65.75-$68.00, weighted average $67.15). Corn closed up 5 1/4 cents in the September and up 5 1/4 cent in the December. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 76 points higher.
