Protein wheat markets were also higher, especially spring wheat spurred on by weather conditions. Weekly Sales...USDA reported total sales volumes slipped a bit from the last few weeks, coming in at 13.8 mb to put year-to-date sales at 256 mb and 7% ahead of a year ago. Top seller was hard red winter with a 5.2 mb tally, followed by soft red winter and hard red spring coming in at 3 mb each. Soft white garnered 2.4 mb in new demand for the week. Top Buyers...Top buyers for the week were Mexico with 4.4 mb trailed by both Nigeria and Taiwan with 2 mb each. Columbia bought 1.8 mb and Peru rounded-out the top five for the week with a million bushels. -Norm Ruhoff Contributing Analyst Copyright 2017 DTN/Telvent. All Rights Reserved.
