By Darin Newsom DTN Senior Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: December corn was fractionally lower, November soybeans were 3 cents lower, and December Chicago (SRW) wheat was 1 cent lower. CME Globex Recap: Today, Friday, is the day. That's right, it's National Coffee Day and the grain and oilseed complex looked like it could use a cup o' joe early with markets drifting lower. Outside commodities were also lethargic, though mostly higher. Financials were mixed with the U.S. dollar slightly stronger and DJIA futures off a bit. OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 40.49 points (0.2%) higher at 22,381.20, the NASDAQ Composite gained 0.19 point to 6,453.45, and the S&P 500 added 3.02 points (0.1%) to 2,510.06 Thursday. DJIA futures were 8 points lower early Friday morning. Asian markets closed mostly higher with Japan's Nikkei off 6.83 points, Hong Kong's Hang Seng up 132.70 points (0.5%), and China's Shanghai Composite gaining 9.30 points (0.3%). European markets were trading mostly higher with London's FTSE 100 up 45.03 points (0.6%), Germany's DAX gaining 35.33 points (0.3%), and France's CAC 40 adding 0.49 point. The euro was 0.0012 higher at 1.1800 while the U.S. dollar index gained 0.02 to 93.15. December 30-year T-Bonds were 2/32 lower at 152'23 while December gold rallied $2.20 to $1,290.90. Crude oil was $0.02 higher at $51.58 while Brent crude gained $0.22 to $57.63. China's Dalian soybean and Malaysian palm oil futures were lower again overnight.
