CME Globex Recap: While Major League Baseball playoffs start Tuesday evening, Tuesday's trading session is mirroring what was seen early Monday. Hence the use of Yogi Berra's famous quote as the title. Soybeans and corn are lower, despite more rain seen across the Western Corn Belt overnight, while softs, energies, and metals continue to trade mostly lower. A couple exceptions are wheat sitting near unchanged and cotton showing small gains. The U.S. dollar is stronger while DJIA futures rally, both following Monday's path. OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 152.51 points (0.7%) higher at 22,557.60, the NASDAQ Composite gained 20.76 points (0.3%) to 6,516.72, and the S&P 500 added 9.76 points (0.4%) to 2,529.12 Monday. DJIA futures were 30 points higher early Tuesday morning. Asian markets closed higher with Japan's Nikkei up 213.29 points (1.0%) and Hong Kong's Hang Seng rallying 618.91 points (2.3%). European markets were trading higher with London's FTSE 100 up 4.13 points, Germany's DAX gaining 73.79 points (0.6%), and France's CAC 40 adding 11.16 points (0.2%). The euro was 0.0012 higher at 1.1746 while the U.S. dollar index gained 0.02 to 93.65. December 30-year T-Bonds were 18/32 lower at 152'04 while December gold lost another $2.40 to $1,273.40. Crude oil was $0.13 lower at $50.45 while Brent crude fell $0.25 to $55.87. China's Dalian soybean market was closed while Malaysian palm oil futures were higher overnight.
