Bid structures show white wheat carries flattening a bit; hard red winter at an inverse and carries in hard red spring wheat. Shipments...USDA reported another relatively slow week for shipments of U.S. wheat, coming in at 11.8 mb and putting total loadings for the year at 390 mb and 4% behind a year ago. Top shipper was hard red winter with 5.6 mb, followed by soft white with 3.6 mb. Hard red spring moved less than a half million bushels. Top destination off the west coast was Indonesia at 2.7 mb, followed by Japan with 1.2 mb. Crop Progress...Winter wheat plantings made good progress across Oregon over the past week, with 25% of the crop going in to put plantings at 74% complete and 12% above average. Washington sowed another 2% and stands at 79% complete versus 86% average. Idaho winter wheat plantings are reported at 90% complete compared to an 82% average. -Norm Ruhoff Contributing Analyst Copyright 2017 DTN/Telvent. All Rights Reserved.
