DTN Early Word Grains 08/27 06:03 Heavy Selling Pressure Continues to Start the Week December corn was down 3.25c, November soybeans were down 14.50c, and December K.C. wheat was down 8.25c. CME Globex Recap: Firmer equity markets around the globe this morning while commodities are mostly lower. August has been a tough month at the CBOT, but unfortunately, September is a very weak month from a seasonal perspective. Financial markets will be interested to see if anything trade related gets done with Mexico this week. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 133.37 points at 25,790.35 and the S&P 500 up 17.71 points at 2,874.69 while the 10-year Treasury yield ended at 2.821%. Early Friday, DJIA futures were up 6.75 points. Asian markets are mostly higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 up 197.87 (0.88%) and China's Shanghai Composite up 51.47 (1.89%). European markets are higher with London's FTSE 100 up 14.27 points (0.19%), Germany's DAX up 62.40 points (0.50%), and France's CAC 40 up 22.55 points (0.42%). The euro was down 0.0.00090 at 1.16345 and the U.S. dollar index was down 0.0020 at 95.1670. September 30-year T-Bonds were up 3/32nds while December gold was down $2.20 at $1211.10 and October crude oil was down $0.27 at $68.44. Soybeans on China's Dalian Exchange closed down 1.33%.
