DTN Early Word Grains 08/30 06:06 Follow Through Buying Seen, Led by Wheat December corn was up 1.75c, November soybeans were up 3.75c, and December K.C. wheat was up 5.5450c. CME Globex Recap: Mixed equity markets although forex continues to be in focus. The USD Index closed lower for the ninth session in the last ten yesterday with the 100-day moving average in sight just below. Energy markets are benefiting with crude having closed higher in eight of the last ten sessions and now above all major moving averages. Grains are firmer, led by wheat, but all contracts could see some relief buying "down here." OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 60.55 points at 26,124.57 and the S&P 500 up 16.52 points at 2,914.04 while the 10-year Treasury yield ended at 2.879%. Early Thursday, DJIA futures were down 6.50. Asian markets are mostly lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 up 21.89 (0.09%) and China's Shanghai Composite down 31.56 (-1.14%). European markets are lower with London's FTSE 100 down 49.22 points (-0.65%), Germany's DAX down 132.47 points (-1.05%), and France's CAC 40 down 26.41 points (-.48%). The euro was down 0.00065 at 1.17080 and the U.S. dollar index was up 0.0750 at 94.6030. September 30-year T-Bonds were up 1/32nds while December gold was down $3.00 at $1208.50 and October crude oil was up $0.25 at $69.76. Soybeans on China's Dalian Exchange closed up 0.69%.
