DTN Early Word Grains 09/13 05:59 Mixed Trade with Harvest on Tap, WASDE in Rearview December corn was up 1 1/4, November soybeans were down 4, and December K.C. wheat was down 1 3/4. CME Globex Recap: Global equity markets are higher this morning on the prospect of renewed Chinese/US trade talks. Energy markets are taking a breather after the Hurricane Florence run-up. Mixed trade in the grain room with the path of least resistance still lower. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 27.86 points at 25,998.92 and the S&P 500 up 1.03 points at 2,888.92 while the 10-year Treasury yield ended at 2.97%. Early Thursday, DJIA futures were up 2.75. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 up 216.7 points (0.96%) and China's Shanghai Composite up 30.47 (1.15%). European markets are mostly higher with London's FTSE 100 down 31.77 points (-0.43%), Germany's DAX up 44.08 points (0.37%), and France's CAC 40 up 9.63 points (0.18%). The euro was down 0.00145 at 1.16215 and the U.S. dollar index was up 0.0810 at 94.8890. September 30-year T-Bonds were down 5/32nds while December gold was down $0.60 at $1210.30 and October crude oil was down $1.00 at $69.37. Soybeans on China's Dalian Exchange closed down 1.46% while meal was down 1.62%.
