IOWA . . . . . *PRIVATE SOURCES DTN COMMENTS: All remains quiet in the country at midday with just a few early asking prices noted in parts of the North around $130 live and $208 plus dressed. The South is dead quiet. Significant trade volume will likely be delayed until Wednesday or later. Beef cutouts are higher at midday (choice 232.10 +1.12, select 221.55 +0.33) with light to moderate box movement (36.33 lds of choice cuts, 17.10 lds of select cuts, 11.16 lds of trim, and 10.49 lds of ground). Cattle futures near the noon hour are moderately to significantly higher on live contracts and mostly moderately higher on feeder issues, spot April feeders are the only contract that is lower at this time.
