DTN Closing Livestock Comment 05/20 16:08 Wednesday's Livestock Contracts Close Lower Wednesday came and went, and like much of the week thus far, the futures complex hasn't had much good to offer. ShayLe Stewart DTN Livestock Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: The marketplace tipped lower in nearly all contracts, except in a couple of deferred lean hog contracts that closed higher. The cattle complex especially struggled even with cash cattle prices jumped another $10 higher. Hog prices closed lower on the National Direct Afternoon Hog Report, $0.41 lower with a weighted average of $37.91 on 8,273 head. July corn is down 1 3/4 cents per bushel and July soybean meal is up $0.90. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 369.04 points and NASDAQ is up 190.68 points.
