DTN Early Word Livestock Comments 06/18 06:40 Cattle Futures Are Expected to Extend Gains Bids were raised in the country Wednesday as packers were intent on doing business earlier rather than later. Early sellers likely wish they would have waited, but cattle needed to be moved and lower prices were taken. Hog futures made a nice comeback from the lows posted early Wednesday. However, this did not turn the trend of the market as new contract lows were established in July and August before buying became more aggressive and prices rebounded.
