DTN Closing Livestock Comment 06/25 16:15 Strong Closes in the Livestock Market Thursday Thursday gave the livestock contracts a day to hang their hat on, as most of the complex was able to close stronger. ShayLe Stewart DTN Livestock Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: Thursday couldn't have shaped up any better in favor for the feeder cattle market as the market needed to see support. Thankfully, it saw it not only from feeder cattle contracts, but also from the live cattle side. Hog prices closed higher on the National Direct Afternoon Hog Report, up $0.22 with a weighted average of $28.71 on 6,316 head sold. July corn is down 7 cents per bushel and July soybean meal is down $1.20. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 299.66 points and NASDAQ is up 107.83 points.
