DTN Closing Grain Comments 08/26 13:53 Winter Wheat Finds Support From Adverse Weather After trading mostly lower the past week and a half, December contracts of KC and Chicago wheat closed up 13 1/4 cents and 13 3/4 cents, respectively, helped by a higher close in Europe and by harvest challenges in Canada. Among row crops, September soybeans stood out with a 21 1/2-cent gain, coming a few days before the delivery period. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: September corn closed up 1 1/2 cents and December corn was down 1 cent. September soybeans closed up 21 1/2 cents and November soybeans were down 6 1/2 cents. December KC wheat closed up 13 1/4 cents, December Chicago wheat was up 13 3/4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat was up 3 1/2 cents. The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.24 at 93.07. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 137.66 points at 35,267.84. August gold is up $1.70 at $1,792.70, September silver is down $0.31 at $23.47 and September copper is down $0.0335. October crude oil is down $1.07 at $67.29, October heating oil is down $0.040, October RBOB gasoline is down $0.0509 and October natural gas is up $0.297.
