DTN Closing Grain Comments 12/21 13:48 KC Wheat Leads Grain Higher; Soybeans Achieve New High March KC wheat closed up 28 1/4 cents Tuesday, bolstered by active demand and ongoing concerns about drought. March soybeans broke above $13.00, posting the highest close in three months with support from gains in both soy products. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed up 7 1/4 cents and July corn was up 8 cents. January soybeans closed up 15 3/4 cents and March soybeans were up 18 cents. March KC wheat closed up 28 1/4 cents, March Chicago wheat was up 21 1/4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was up 5 3/4 cents. The March U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.03 at 96.52. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 520.88 points at 35,453.04. February gold is down $7.10 at $1,787.50, March silver is up $0.22 at $22.52 and March copper is up $0.0545. February crude oil is up $2.66 at $71.27, February heating oil is up $0.0874, February RBOB gasoline is up $0.0647 and February natural gas is up $0.059.
