DTN Closing Grain Comments 12/30 13:48 Grains Lower as New Year Approaches March soybeans fell 30 1/4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was down 17 1/2 cents, the top percentage losers among Thursday's grain-related trade. Soybean prices were hurt by reports of rain in Parana, Brazil, and a second consecutive new marketing year low of soybean export sales in Thursday morning's report. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed down 9 1/2 cents and July corn was down 10 3/4 cents. March soybeans closed down 30 1/4 cents and July soybeans were down 28 1/2 cents. March KC wheat closed down 11 3/4 cents, March Chicago wheat was down 8 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was down 17 1/2 cents. The March U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.17 at 96.10. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 24.88 points at 36,513.51. February gold is up $9.10 at $1,814.90, March silver is up $0.19 at $23.05 and March copper is down $0.0310. February crude oil is up $0.31 at $76.87, February heating oil is up $0.0157, February RBOB gasoline is up $0.0214 and February natural gas is down $0.282.
