DTN Closing Livestock Comment 01/07 16:21 Livestock Contracts Close Cautiously Mixed Ahead of Weekend Heading into Monday's trade, the market will want to know how processing speeds are going to run ahead of anything else. ShayLe Stewart DTN Livestock Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: It was a quiet day for the livestock complex as Friday's trade was mostly uneventful and led the contracts into a mixed close ahead of the weekend. Hog prices closed lower on the National Direct Afternoon Hog Report, down $1.65 with a weighted average of $66.95 on 5,174 head. March corn is up 3 cents per bushel and March soybean meal is up $14.00. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 4.81 points and NASDAQ is down 144.96 points.
