DTN Closing Grain Comments 01/24 13:57 Wheat Prices Climb on Ukraine Tensions; Soybean Oil Corrects Lower March KC wheat attracted the most buying attention Monday, closing up 24 3/4 cents, while traders wait to see what Russia's plans are for Ukraine. March soybeans were down 11 1/4 cents, pulled down by a 1.03-cent drop in March soybean oil and a day of lower trading in U.S. stocks and crude oil. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed up 4 3/4 cents and July corn was up 2 1/4 cents. March soybeans closed down 11 1/4 cents and July soybeans were down 13 1/4 cents. March KC wheat closed up 24 3/4 cents, March Chicago wheat was up 20 1/2 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was up 12 1/2 cents. The March U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.25 at 95.89. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 604.16 points at 33,661.21. February gold is up $8.40 at $1,840.20, March silver is down $0.45 at $23.87 and March copper is down $0.0935. March crude oil is down $1.86 at $83.28, March heating oil is down $0.0495, March RBOB gasoline is down $0.0422 and March natural gas is up $0.055.
