DTN Closing Grain Comments 02/01 13:45 Soybeans, Meal Surge to New Highs March soybeans closed up 38 cents at a new contract high of $15.28 1/2, given a push from a $17.10 gain in March soybean meal, the largest percentage gain among Tuesday's grain-related contracts. Dry weather conditions are expected to return to southern Brazil and Argentina next week. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed up 8 3/4 cents and July corn was up 8 3/4 cents. March soybeans closed up 38 cents and July soybeans were up 35 1/2 cents. March KC wheat closed up 5 cents, March Chicago wheat was up 7 3/4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was up 8 1/2 cents. The March U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.12 at 96.42. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 29.79 points at 35,161.65. April gold is up $5.30 at $1,801.70, March silver is up $0.15 at $22.55 and March copper is up $0.0945. March crude oil is down $0.34 at $87.81, March heating oil is up $0.0213, March RBOB gasoline is up $0.0131 and March natural gas is down $0.148.
