DTN Closing Grain Comments 02/03 13:56 Corn Lower After China Cancels Purchase March corn closed down 5 3/4 cents, a second day lower after USDA announced Thursday China cancelled a 15 million bushel old-crop corn purchase. All three U.S. wheats were modestly lower and March soybeans ended down a penny, ending its seven-day streak of higher close. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed down 5 3/4 cents and July corn was down 4 1/4 cents. March soybeans closed down 1 cent and July soybeans were down 3/4 cent. March KC wheat closed down 1/2 cent, March Chicago wheat was down 3 1/4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was down 7 1/4 cents. The March U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.64 at 95.30. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 274.62 points at 35,354.71. April gold is down $3.10 at $1,807.20, March silver is down $0.27 at $22.44 and March copper is down $0.020. March crude oil is up $1.98 at $90.24, March heating oil is up $0.0648, March RBOB gasoline is up $0.0372 and March natural gas is down $0.639.
