DTN Closing Grain Comments 02/09 14:14 Row Crops Push to New Highs Despite USDA Report March corn closed up 14 1/2 cents at a new contract high as the forecast remains mostly dry for southern Brazil and Argentina. March soybeans closed up 25 3/4 cents, even though USDA crop reduction in South America turned out to be less than expected. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed up 14 1/2 cents and December corn was up 6 1/2 cents. March soybeans closed up 25 3/4 cents and November soybeans were up 24 1/2 cents. March KC wheat closed up 13 3/4 cents, March Chicago wheat was up 6 1/4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was up 13 1/4 cents. The March U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.14 at 95.51. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 323.12 points at 35,785.90. April gold is up $7.00 at $1,834.90, March silver is up $0.10 at $23.30 and March copper is up $0.170. March crude oil is up $0.22 at $89.58, March heating oil is up $0.0328, March RBOB gasoline is up $0.0277 and March natural gas is down $0.250.
