DTN Closing Livestock Comment 02/09 16:15 Another Day, Higher Closes Again for Livestock Complex Heading into Thursday's trade, the lean hog market is hopeful for strong exports but it's holding its breath. ShayLe Stewart DTN Livestock Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: As the market looks to Thursday's trade, cash cattle trade still has time to push prices higher. With only a small sampling of cattle being traded at this point, the market still needs to move more ahead of the weekend. Hog prices closed higher on the National Direct Afternoon Hog Report, up $2.00 with a weighted average of $84.51 on 9,791 head. March corn is up 14 1/2 cents per bushel and March soybean meal is up $7.80. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 305.28 points and NASDAQ is up 295.91 points.
