DTN Closing Grain Comments 02/22 13:54 Grains Surge on Russian Aggression The entire grain sector, except for oats, closed higher Tuesday, influenced by the movement of Russian troops into Ukraine. Beneficial rains are in this week's forecast for Argentina, but even March soybean meal closed higher, ending up $5.80. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed up 20 1/2 cents and December corn was up 8 cents. March soybeans closed up 33 1/2 cents and November soybeans were up 9 1/2 cents. March KC wheat closed up 46 1/2 cents, March Chicago wheat was up 47 1/4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was up 25 cents. The March U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.05 at 96.07. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 531.04 points at 33,548.14. April gold is up $3.00 at $1,902.80, March silver is up $0.25 at $24.24 and March copper is down $0.0210. March crude oil is up $1.25 at $91.46, March heating oil is up $0.0278, March RBOB gasoline is up $0.0309 and March natural gas is up $0.064.
