Weather is a primary focus this week, as near-record low temps are expected from an arctic front. Relatively warm weather the past few weeks has removed most of the snow cover across the PNW and cold temps are being ushered in by strong winds. Shipments...Weekly export inspections showed a relatively solid week of export loading for US wheat, coming in at nearly 20 mb to put current year totals 15% behind a year ago. Hard red winter registered 7.4 mb for the week, hard red spring moved 5.6 mb and white wheat saw 3.4 mb shipped off the west coast. Japan was the big taker for wheat and corn off west coast ports last week, with respective totals of 3.3 mb and 9.5 mb. China took on 7.3 mb of soybeans. -Norm Ruhoff Contributing Analyst Copyright 2022 DTN/Telvent. All Rights Reserved.
