DTN Closing Grain Comments 02/23 14:04 Bullish Grain Surge Continues Aside from oats, all the active futures contracts in the grain sector finished higher Wednesday as the combination of reduced production in South America and the advance of Russian troops into Ukraine continues to pressure the short side of grain markets toward liquidation. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed up 9 cents and December corn was up 5 1/2 cents. March soybeans closed up 40 cents and November soybeans were up 14 1/4 cents. March KC wheat closed up 31 cents, March Chicago wheat was up 32 1/4 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was up 15 1/4 cents. The March U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.18 at 96.20. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 324.50 points at 33,272.11. April gold is up $2.30 at $1,909.70, March silver is up $0.25 at $24.57 and March copper is down $0.0485. April crude oil is up $0.08 at $91.99, April heating oil is up $0.0015, April RBOB gasoline is up $0.0173 and April natural gas is up $0.126.
