DTN Closing Grain Comments 03/14 13:43 Crude Oil, Most Grains Lower on Talk of Peace April crude oil is trading down over $7.00 Monday afternoon after most grains finished lower on the day. As improbable as it sounds, there is unconfirmed talk Russia and Ukraine may be negotiating a deal to put an end to Russia's attacks on Ukraine. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: May corn closed down 14 1/4 cents and December corn was down 2 3/4 cents. May soybeans closed down 5 1/2 cents and November soybeans were down 10 cents. May KC wheat closed up 10 3/4 cents, May Chicago wheat was down 10 1/4 cents and May Minneapolis wheat was unchanged. The June U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.21 at 98.93. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 88.03 points at 32,856.16. April gold is down $26.80 at $1,958.20, May silver is down $0.86 at $25.31 and May copper is down $0.1105. April crude oil is down $7.06 at $102.27, April heating oil is down $0.1391, April RBOB gasoline is down $0.1554 and April natural gas is down $0.091.
