CME Globex Recap: Early Thursday, Dow Jones futures and European stocks are higher, trying to recoup part of Wednesday's loss. President Joe Biden met with leaders of NATO, G-7 and the European Union Wednesday in an effort to keep pressure on Russia and to prepare for Russia's next move, in case things turn worse. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 448.96 at 34,358.50 and the S&P 500 down 55.37 at 4,456.24 as the 10-Year Treasury yield eased to 2.32%, down from the highest in over two years. Early Thursday, June Dow Jones futures are trading up 103 points. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.25% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.63%. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.33%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.49% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.58%. The June euro is down $0.0023 at $1.1019. The June U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.25 at 98.86. The June 30-year T-bond is down 19/32nds, while June gold is up $1.60 at $1,938.90 and May crude oil is down $0.14 at $114.79. On China's Dalian exchange, quotes were not available early Thursday. June Malaysian palm oil is trading down 4.0%.
