DTN Closing Grain Comments 03/25 13:52 Quiet Start to Friday Trade; Midday Flurry of Buying Leads to Higher Close Following the Thursday meeting in Brussels between the U.S., EU and NATO leadership, other than unity on condemnation of the Russian invasion, there was little in the way of concrete action to add additional sanctions. Grain and soy markets traded in a more subdued fashion early Friday before buyers stepped up to rally both to a higher finish, with wheat leading the way. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: May corn closed up 5 3/4 cents per bushel and December corn was up 1 1/2 cents. May soybeans closed up 9 1/2 cents and November soybeans were up 3 3/4 cents. May KC wheat closed up 15 3/4 cents, May Chicago wheat was up 16 1/2 cents and May Minneapolis wheat was up 22 cents. The June U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.025 at 98.775. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 74.79 points at 34,782.73. April gold is down $8.40 at $1,953.80, May silver is down $0.32 at $25.61 and May copper is down $0.0475 at $4.6950. May crude oil is up $0.53 at $112.87, May heating oil is down $0.0740, May RBOB is up $0.0420 and April natural gas is up $0.155.
