White wheat slipped 75 cents from late last week, hard red winter 11.5 protein was off 70 cents and dark northern spring 14 protein was 45 cents lower. Warmer weather across the PNW continues to advance the winter wheat crop, though many areas remain exceptionally dry going into spring planting. Shipments...Weekly export inspections showed overall wheat shipments held in-line with the prior week at 12.5 mb, putting year-to-date totals at 621 mb and 17% behind a year ago. Hard red winter moved a total of 6 mb for the week, followed by hard red spring with 3.8 mb. Soft white saw only 600,000 bushels loaded last week. Top destinations for west coast ports were Japan and the Philippines taking on 3 mb and 2.4 mb of wheat, respectively. China took on 7.7 mb of corn, 5 mb of soybeans along with 5.5 mb of sorghum. -Norm Ruhoff Contributing Analyst Copyright 2022 DTN/Telvent. All Rights Reserved.
