DTN Early Word Grains 04/05 05:53 Wheat Continues to Lead Grains Higher May corn was up 7 cents, May soybeans were up 14 1/2 cents and May KC wheat was up 41 cents Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst Pre-6 a.m. Globex Prices: May corn was up 7 cents, May soybeans were up 14 1/2 cents and May KC wheat was up 41 cents CME Globex Recap: Early Tuesday, Dow Jones futures are lower with stocks in Europe mixed. Investors remain concerned about rising energy prices, interest rate hikes in 2022 and the war in Ukraine. In China, residents of Shanghai remain in lockdown with new cases of coronavirus on the rise. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 103.61 at 34,921.88 and the S&P 500 up 36.78 at 4,582.64 as the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 2.41%, near its highest in over two years. Early Monday, June Dow Jones futures are trading down 88 points. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.19% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.94%. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading down 0.29%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.16% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading down 0.42%. The June euro is up $0.0005 at $1.1006. The June U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.06 at 98.91. The June 30-year T-bond is down 18/32nds, while June gold is up $0.70 at $1,934.70 and May crude oil is up $1.79 at $105.07. China's Dalian exchange is closed for a national holiday and will be open Wednesday. June Malaysian palm oil is trading up 3.2%.
