DTN Early Word Grains 04/06 06:05 Grains Mixed Early Wednesday, Wheat Prices Ease Back May corn was down 5 cents, May soybeans were up 1 1/4 cents and May KC wheat was down 11 cents Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst Pre-6 a.m. Globex Prices: May corn was down 5 cents, May soybeans were up 1 1/4 cents and May KC wheat was down 11 cents CME Globex Recap: Early Wednesday, Dow Jones futures are trading lower, in line with European stocks ahead of the release of the minutes from the latest Federal Reserve meeting, due out at 1 p.m. CDT. Federal Reserve officials recently made comments about rapidly reducing the Fed's balance sheet in order to bring down inflation. Also on Wednesday, the U.S. and its allies are expected to announce even more sanctions against Russia. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 280.70 at 34,641.18 and the S&P 500 down 57.52 at 4,525.12 as the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 2.56%, its highest in over two years. Early Monday, June Dow Jones futures are trading down 189 points. Asian markets are mostly lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 1.58% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.02%. European markets are lower with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading down 0.34%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading down 1.17% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading down 1.24%. The June euro is up $0.0007 at $1.0940. The June U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.03 at 99.46. The June 30-year T-bond is down 28/32nds, while June gold is up $5.70 at $1,933.20 and May crude oil is up $0.90 at $102.86. On China's Dalian exchange, quotes were not available early Wednesday. June Malaysian palm oil is trading up 0.2%.
