DTN Early Word Grains 04/07 05:53 Grain Prices Quietly Mixed Ahead of Friday's WASDE Report May corn was down 1 3/4 cents, May soybeans were up 7 cents and May KC wheat was down 4 cents Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst Pre-6 a.m. Globex Prices: May corn was down 1 3/4 cents, May soybeans were up 7 cents and May KC wheat was down 4 cents CME Globex Recap: Early Thursday, Dow Jones futures are slightly higher with European stocks also trading higher. Wednesday's minutes from the latest Federal Reserve meeting reminded investors Fed officials voted to reduce the balance sheet, the first of a series of reductions that are likely ahead and will coincide with increases in the federal funds target. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 144.67 at 34,496.51 and the S&P 500 down 43.97 at 4,481.15 as the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 2.61%, its highest in three years. Early Thursday, June Dow Jones futures are trading up 28 points. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 1.69% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 1.42%. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.17%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.42% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.47%. The June euro is down $0.0025 at $1.0903. The June U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.18 at 99.79. The June 30-year T-bond is up 13/32nds, while June gold is up $6.40 at $1,929.50 and May crude oil is up $1.72 at $97.95. On China's Dalian exchange, May corn was up 0.2%, May soybeans were down 0.3%, May soybean meal was down 0.6% and May soybean oil was up 0.8%. June Malaysian palm oil is trading down 1.6%.
