DTN Early Word Grains 04/20 05:55 Grain Prices Quietly Mixed Early Wednesday July corn was down 2 3/4 cents, July soybeans were up 1 3/4 cents and July KC wheat was up 1 1/2 cents Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst Pre-6 a.m. Globex Prices: July corn was down 2 3/4 cents, July soybeans were up 1 3/4 cents and July KC wheat was up 1 1/2 cents CME Globex Recap: Early Wednesday, Dow Jones futures are trading a little higher in line with higher trading in Europe. Several more earnings reports are due out Wednesday. The Wall Street Journal reported a 25% drop in Netflix with subscribers leaving the company, while IBM outperformed expectations. The anticipation of higher interest rates later in 2022 remains a concern and on Wednesday morning, traders will note the report on U.S. existing home sales for March. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 499.51 at 34,911.20 and the S&P 500 up 70.52 at 4,462.21 as the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 2.91%, its highest in three years. Early Wednesday, June Dow Jones futures are trading up 50 points. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.86% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 1.35%. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.20%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.71% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 1.13%. The June euro is up $0.0050 at $1.0863. The June U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.43 at 100.54. The June 30-year T-bond is up 6/32nds, while June gold is down $10.40 at $1,948.60 and June crude oil is up $1.10 at $103.66. On China's Dalian exchange, September corn was up 0.5%, May soybeans were up 0.9%, September soybean meal was up 1.8% and September soybean oil was down 0.5%. June Malaysian palm oil is trading down 1.2%.
