DTN Closing Grain Comments 04/25 13:45 Soy Complex Falls Despite China Purchase; Corn Bounces Back The negative spin that occurred early Monday morning can likely be attributed to the plunge in crude oil related to China's slowing economy, and the fall in world veg oils, as Indonesia will now allow crude palm oil sales following a palm oil export ban instituted Friday. The wheat market was mixed, but new-crop Minneapolis came within three cents of the high. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: May corn closed up 7 1/4 cents per bushel and December corn was up 9 1/2 cents. May soybeans closed down 12 1/2 cents and November soybeans were down 11 cents. July KC wheat closed up 3 1/2 cents, July Chicago wheat was down 2 3/4 cents and July Minneapolis wheat was up 18 1/4 cents. The June U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.527 at 101.740. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 57.89 points at 33,869.29. June gold is down $34.70 at $1,899.60, May silver is down $0.50 at $23.76 and May copper is down $0.1210 at $4.4605. June crude oil is down $3.77 at $98.30, June heating oil is up $0.0086, June RBOB is down $0.0733 and May natural gas is up $0.132.
