DTN Closing Grain Comments 04/26 13:41 Wheat Rises on Weather, Crop Conditions; Minneapolis New High Grain and soy markets firmed up on Tuesday, led by wheat futures and Minneapolis futures. It's too wet up north to plant spring wheat, and too dry in the southwestern Plains, compromising hard red winter yields, and that is supporting all three wheat markets. Corn is higher on planting delays and solid demand, and soybeans are a mixed bag, with new crop November higher. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: July corn closed up 3 1/2 cents per bushel and December corn was up 9 1/2 cents. July soybeans closed down 3 1/2 cents and November soybeans were up 8 1/2 cents. July KC wheat closed up 11 1/2 cents, July Chicago wheat was up 22 1/2 cents and July Minneapolis wheat was up 7 1/2 cents. The June U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.541 at 102.310.
