DTN Closing Grain Comments 04/27 13:55 Soybean Oil, Corn, Minneapolis Wheat Prices Soar to New Highs Fueled by Indonesia's ban on refined palm product exports set to go into effect at midnight on Wednesday, world veg oil markets shot to new highs, including palm oil, bean oil and canola. Soybeans rallied in response and corn futures hit a new contract high, as U.S. delayed planting and the worsening drought in Brazil's second corn crop area brought buyers back. Wheat was a mixed affair, with Minneapolis reaching a new high. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: July corn closed up 10 3/4 cents per bushel and December corn was up 6 cents. July soybeans closed up 21 cents and November soybeans were up 22 cents. July KC wheat closed down 10 1/2 cents, July Chicago wheat was down 3 3/4 cents and July Minneapolis wheat was up 7 1/4 cents. The June U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.627 at 102.945. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 336.29 points at 33,576.47. June gold is down $15.40 at $1,888.70, May silver is down $0.14 at $23.41 and July copper is up $0.0105 at $4.4745. June crude oil is up $0.57 at $102.27, June heating oil is up $0.1322, June RBOB is up $0.1166 and June natural gas is up $0.367.
