DTN Early Word Grains 04/27 06:27 Soybean Oil Prices Surge Higher; Russia Cuts Off Gas to Poland July corn was up 3/4 cent, July soybeans were up 17 1/2 cents and July KC wheat was down 8 cents. CME Globex Recap: Early Wednesday, Dow Jones futures are trading higher, taking back part of Tuesday's loss of over 800 points as stocks continue to show pressure from the anticipation of rising interest rates and concerns about Covid in China. The Wall Street Journal said Wednesday's earnings reports include Meta Platforms (Facebook), Ford and Twitter. Russia's actions also continue to stress investors with several media sources reporting it shut off gas to Poland and Bulgaria. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 809.28 at 33,240.18 and the S&P 500 down 120.92 at 4,175.20 as the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 2.77%, down from its highest in three years. Early Wednesday, June Dow Jones futures are trading up 375 points. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 1.17% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 2.49%. European markets are a little higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.33%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.05% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.50%. The June euro is down $0.0050 at $1.0617. The June U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.38 at 102.70. The June 30-year T-bond is up 5/32nds, while June gold is down $9.20 at $1,894.90 and June crude oil is up $0.82 at $102.52. On China's Dalian exchange, September corn was down 0.1%, May soybeans were up 0.9%, September soybean meal was up 0.6% and September soybean oil was up 2.5%. June Malaysian palm oil is trading up 9.4%. June Malaysian palm oil is trading up 5.7%.
