DTN Closing Grain Comments 05/02 13:53 Soybean Oil Prices Take Bearish Hit, Lead Grains Mostly Lower July soybean oil fell 4.09 cents Monday, the largest percentage loss in the grain sector after reaching a new all-time high Friday. Rain in the western Plains and more in the forecast also added to Monday's selling. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: July corn closed down 10 cents and December corn was down 9 cents. July soybeans closed down 39 1/2 cents and November soybeans were down 24 1/4 cents. July KC wheat closed down 7 3/4 cents, July Chicago wheat was down 1/4 cents and July Minneapolis wheat was up 3 1/4 cents. The June U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.76 at 103.73. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 438.19 points at 32,539.02. June gold is down $47.60 at $1,864.10, May silver is down $0.51 at $22.58 and May copper is down $0.1325. June crude oil is up $0.44 at $105.13, June heating oil is up $0.1969, June RBOB gasoline is up $0.0653 and June natural gas is up $0.241.
