DTN Closing Grain Comments 05/03 13:57 Grain Prices Mostly Lower as Soybean Meal Falls To New Low July contracts of corn, soybeans and all three wheats closed lower Tuesday, but it was July soybean meal that showed the largest percentage loss, closing at a new three-month low. December corn fell 7 cents with better planting weather on the way. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: July corn closed down 10 1/2 cents and December corn was down 7 cents. July soybeans closed down 14 3/4 cents and November soybeans were down 12 1/4 cents. July KC wheat closed down 5 1/4 cents, July Chicago wheat was down 10 cents and September Minneapolis wheat was down 8 1/2 cents. The June U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.22 at 103.55. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 45.97 points at 33,015.53. June gold is up $4.60 at $1,868.20, May silver is down $0.01 at $22.58 and May copper is up $0.0190. June crude oil is down $2.64 at $102.53, June heating oil is down $0.1259, June RBOB gasoline is down $0.0064 and June natural gas is up $0.502.
