DTN Closing Livestock Comment 05/04 16:02 Hogs Break Out of Their Lower Trend Throughout Wednesday's market, the lean hog complex set out to regain lost ground as traders finally felt like the market had corrected enough. ShayLe Stewart DTN Livestock Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: Heading into Thursday, all eyes will be on the hog market to see if it can keep with Wednesday's bullish tone. The cash cattle market saw trade develop throughout Wednesday in both the North and South and in heading to Thursday trade is expected to keep with the week's trend. Hogs were higher on the Daily Direct Afternoon Hog Report, up $8.34 with a weighted average of $108.47 on 17,691 head. July corn is up 1 1/4 cents per bushel and July soybean meal is down $5.70. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 932.27 points.
