DTN Early Word Grains 05/09 05:46 Grain Prices Split With Row Crops Lower, Wheat Higher Pre-6 a.m. Globex Prices: July corn was down 12 1/2 cents, July soybeans were down 15 cents and July KC wheat was up 19 1/2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Monday, U.S. stocks on the Dow Jones Industrials are lower in line with Europe, both pressured by interest rates on Treasury securities that continue to climb to new highs. China's economy continues to show signs of slowing as lockdowns remain in place. The yuan has lost 5% of its value in less than a month. Over the weekend, G7 nations agreed to ban imports of oil from Russia and extended sanctions to several businesses and businessmen in Russia and Belarus. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 98.60 at 32,899.37 and the S&P 500 down 23.53 at 4,123.34 as the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.12%, the highest level in three and a half years. Early Monday, June Dow Jones futures are trading down 466 points. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 2.53% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 2.58%. European markets are lower with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading down 1.19%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading down 1.22% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading down 1.16%. The June euro is down $0.0035 at $1.0528. The June U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.39 at 104.08. The June 30-year T-bond is down 25/32nds, while June gold is down $17.40 at $1,865.40 and June crude oil is down $1.56 at $108.21. On China's Dalian exchange, September corn was down 0.4%, July soybeans were down 1.9%, September soybean meal was down 2.5% and September soybean oil was down 0.9%. June Malaysian palm oil is trading up 0.7%.
