DTN Closing Grain Comments 05/10 14:15 Wheat Rallies Again on Weather Issues; Soybeans Firm on Oil Recovery In rather quiet trading, wheat firmed up again on rain-delayed planting in the spring wheat belt and extreme heat and dryness in the southwestern Plains, further exacerbating drought issues there. Corn stopped a two-day slide but traded in a narrow and low-volume range. Soybeans closed firm on bean oil strength. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: July corn closed up 3 1/4 cents per bushel and December corn was up 8 1/4 cents. July soybeans closed up 7 cents and November soybeans were up 8 cents. July KC wheat closed steady, July Chicago wheat was unchanged and July Minneapolis wheat was up 6 1/2 cents. The June U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.211 at 103.900. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 33.60 points at 32,279.30. June gold is down $14.80 at $1,843.80, July silver is down $0.30 at $21.52 and July copper is down $0.0225 at $4.1710. June crude oil is down $3.54 at $99.55, June heating oil is up $0.0766, June RBOB is down $0.1141 and June natural gas is up $0.315.
