DTN Closing Grain Comments 05/19 13:45 Soybean Prices Rebound Thursday; Wheat Slides Lower July soybeans quickly erased Wednesday's loss and closed up 27 3/4 cents Thursday, helped by an $11.30 gain in July soybean meal after USDA reported 293,100 mt of meal sold for export last week. New-crop contracts of wheat were lower a second day, a continuation of the noncommercial selling triggered by Wednesday's sharp stock market sell-off. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: July corn closed up 1 3/4 cents and December corn was down 4 1/4 cents. July soybeans closed up 27 3/4 cents and November soybeans were up 15 cents. July KC wheat closed down 29 1/4 cents, July Chicago wheat was down 30 1/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat was down 22 1/4 cents. The June U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 1.12 at 102.74. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 166.72 points at 31,323.35. June gold is up $23.50 at $1,839.40, May silver is up $0.41 at $21.95 and May copper is up $0.1080. June crude oil is up $2.47 at $112.06, June heating oil is up $0.0938, June RBOB gasoline is up $0.0772 and June natural gas is up $0.017.
