DTN Closing Grain Comments 06/01 14:02 Corn, Wheat Prices Lower a Second Day, Still Swayed by Russia's Offer New-crop contracts of corn and all three U.S. wheats finished lower again Wednesday as noncommercials continue to respond to news that Russia is offering to allow grain exports to leave Ukraine in return for an easing of sanctions. July soybeans were up 7 cents with light support from soybean oil and another jump in fuel prices. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: July corn closed down 22 1/4 cents and December corn was down 20 cents. July soybeans closed up 7 cents and November soybeans were up 5 3/4 cents. July KC wheat closed down 37 1/4 cents, July Chicago wheat was down 46 1/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat was down 50 1/4 cents. The June U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.75 at 102.52. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 93.69 points at 32,896.43. June gold is up $3.20 at $1,851.60, July silver is up $0.24 at $21.93 and July copper is up $0.0385. July crude oil is up $0.63 at $115.30, July heating oil is up $0.2037, July RBOB gasoline is up $0.1515 and July natural gas is up $0.548.
