DTN Early Word Grains 06/01 05:49 Wheat Prices Quietly Higher; Row Crops Mixed Pre-6 a.m. Globex Prices: July corn was down 4 1/4 cents, July soybeans were up 5 1/2 cents and July KC wheat was up 8 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst PRE-6 a.m. GLOBEX PRICES: July corn was down 4 1/4 cents, July soybeans were up 5 1/2 cents and July KC wheat was up 8 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Wednesday, U.S. stocks on the Dow Jones Industrials are trading a little higher along with European stocks. Most manufacturing indices in Europe indicated expansion in May, while one index for China showed contraction. ISM's index of U.S. manufacturing for May is due out at 9 a.m. CDT, followed by the Federal Reserve's Beige Book at 1 p.m. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 222.84 at 32,990.12 and the S&P 500 down 26.09 at 4,132.15 as the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 2.84%, down from the highest level in three and a half years. Early Wednesday, June Dow Jones futures are trading up 109 points. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.65% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.13%. European markets are slightly higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.11%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.24% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.14%. The June euro is down $0.0022 at $1.0720. The June U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.26 at 102.03. The June 30-year T-bond is down 6/32nds, while June gold is down $15.80 at $1,826.90 and July crude oil is up $1.65 at $116.32. On China's Dalian exchange, September corn was down 1.3%, July soybeans were down 1.1%, September soybean meal was down 1.5% and September soybean oil was down 0.2%. June Malaysian palm oil is trading up 2.0%.
