DTN Closing Grain Comments 06/15 13:53 Wheat Sell-Off Extends; Soy Lower on Weak Basis, Crude Oil The wheat markets continued to slip lower Wednesday as hot and dry weather in the Suthern Plains allowed an acceleration of harvest. Soybeans, on the heels of a sharp drop in both export and domestic soy basis, leaked lower on spot July. Corn went the opposite way, with spot July very firm. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: July corn closed up 5 3/4 cents per bushel and December corn was down 1/4 cent. July soybeans closed down 4 3/4 cents and November soybeans were down 1 3/4 cents. July KC wheat closed down 9 cents, July Chicago wheat was down 1/4 cent and September Minneapolis wheat was down 10 3/4 cents. The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.022 at 105.320. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 14.16 points at 30,378.99. August gold is up $11.30 at $1,824.80, July silver is up $0.54 at $21.50 and July copper is down $0.0145 at $4.1420. July crude oil is down $3.69 at $115.24, July heating oil is up $0.1530, July RBOB is down $0.1023 and July natural gas is up $0.251.
