DTN Closing Livestock Comment 06/17 16:14 Livestock Market Pushes Ambitiously Through Friday's Closing Bell Heading into next week's market, both cattle and hog producers are hopeful that demand will stay as strong as it was this week so traders see the fundamental support they need to keep pushing the contracts higher. ShayLe Stewart DTN Livestock Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: The livestock contracts leaned into the last stretch of the week with ambition and closed Friday fully higher. Hog prices closed lower on the Daily Direct Afternoon Hog Report, down $1.62 with a weighted average of $115.72 on 5,009 head. July corn is down 3 3/4 cents per bushel and July soybean meal is up $8.40. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 38.29 points.
