DTN Closing Grain Comments 06/21 13:55 Wheat Prices Sink, Drag Crops Lower All three U.S. wheats were sharply lower Tuesday, pressured by rain in this week's forecast across the Canadian Prairies and several days of moderate temperatures across the northwestern Plains. Corn and soybeans were also lower, even without much rain in the seven-day forecast and while other commodities were mostly higher. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: July corn closed down 23 3/4 cents and December corn was down 29 1/2 cents. July soybeans closed down 21 cents and November soybeans were down 27 cents. July KC wheat closed down 63 3/4 cents, July Chicago wheat was down 59 cents and September Minneapolis wheat was down 52 cents. The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.29 at 104.20. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 620.88 points at 30,509.66. August gold is down $5.30 at $1,835.30, July silver is up $0.13 at $21.72 and July copper is up $0.0165. August crude oil is up $1.86 at $109.85, August heating oil is up $0.0225, August RBOB gasoline is up $0.0228 and August natural gas is down $0.114.
