DTN Closing Grain Comments 07/08 14:28 Wheat Leads Grain Prices Higher With Drier Forecast Ahead The active futures contracts of corn, soybeans and all three wheats finished higher Friday with the wheats showing the larger percentage gains on the day. After Friday, the forecast turns drier for the bulk of U.S. crop areas with hotter weather to follow. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: September corn closed up 24 1/4 cents and December corn was up 27 1/4 cents. August soybeans closed up 28 cents and November soybeans were up 31 cents. September KC wheat closed up 56 1/2 cents, September Chicago wheat was up 55 cents and September Minneapolis wheat was up 57 1/4 cents. The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.11 at 106.85. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 41.47 points at 31,426.02. August gold is up $2.20 at $1,741.90, July silver is up $0.07 at $19.26 and July copper is down $0.0525. August crude oil is up $1.47 at $104.20, August heating oil is down $0.0186, August RBOB gasoline is up $0.0174 and August natural gas is down $0.241.
